Grandma Alvino

Grandma Alvino passed away early yesterday morning. She was 94 years old.

What do I remember about Grandma Alvino...

We would go over to her house every Sunday after church and she would make us one of 2 things - either roasted chicken or pasta. She always had a separate table set up in the living room for Anthony so he wouldn't miss any of the Broncos games.

She would always have a box of fruit roll-ups (strawberry of course) for us and we would always finish the whole box.

When it was hot outside we would all throw on our swimsuits and head to the pool.

She would sit us in her kitchen and cut our hair (she did a very good job!!!)

When we spent the weekend with her we always rode the bus to the Aurora Mall on Saturday and eat at Chik-Fil-A

Those are just a few of my favorite memories, but there were a lot more. she was really involved in our lives and she will be dearly missed!!!

We love you Grandma!!!

I, too, was fortunate enough to enjoy a few of those moments with you all. I will never forget her pasta and meatballs, and then heading down to the pool. And I also seem to remember something about tuna sandwiches on english muffin bread!
Our prayers are with you and your families!
Love you.

How blessed you all are to have such memories to cherish. Your grandmother was filled with love for all of you and how blessed she was to be able to see her two little great-granddaughters. "Grandma Alvino" will surely be missed but we all rejoice that she is now truly "home" and is no doubt dancing and singing for joy. Please know that our thoughts are with you.
