A girl on the move

She finally rolled over, there's no stopping her now :)

Getting ready for Christmas with Grandma Becky

My mom used to have a tradition with her grandma and they would go over to her house and decorate cookies and the Christmas Tree. I am so glad that she has started that with Madalyn and Isabella.
Isabella had more fun eating the sprinkles than actually decorating the cookies.

Isabella was actually a very good help at decorating the tree. Next year Madalyn will be able to help a little more :)

It's a doosy

Jared took the car out for a little stroll today and ended up in the median. He is a pro at driving big semi's but the little Acura was a little much for him today. But in all seriousness, if Jared ended up like this then you all need to be careful out there - because he really is a pro.

Who loves Christmas - I DO!!!

I love Christmas so much that we have 5 Christmas trees. Jared really loves it because he is the one who gets to put them all up :)

Cousins

This past weekend we went to Iowa to visit Lisa's Parents. We had so much fun, and can't wait to go back. It is so fun to see the two girls "hang out". Soon their age will be so close that we won't be able to tell who is older :)

ta-da!!!

My first turkey and I didn't destroy it. In fact, it was pretty tasty!!!

Daddy and Maddi

I was taking a nap today and when I woke up and looked over this is what I saw...

Daddy and Maddi watching the Broncos (they were still looking OK at this point). So cute!!!

Pathetic!!!

Have any of you ever had a sinus infection - well they SUCK!!!! I had one this past week. You know when your nose hurts so much that the thought of blowing it makes you want to cry. Well imagine Jared's excitement when he saw me laying on the couch like this - he just had to get a picture.

It's been a while since my last post... Seems like the same old, same old going on here so I haven't had much to blog about. This week we hit a small milestone with Madalyn - She is eating from a spoon. Not a pro yet, but she is getting the hang of it. It has been so fun to see her grow and change. She is almost rolling over. I will probably be reporting that in a few weeks.

Our day with Nathan

Madalyn and I got to go to the hospital today to see Nathan. He looks so great!!! He still has a long ways to go, but his progress so far has surpassed everything the Doctors said he would do. They said he may never talk again, and he is. They said he would never walk again, and he is well on his way to do that!!! Just goes to show you that we serve a God much bigger than modern medicine!!!

First Halloween

On Sunday we had our annual Missions Festival at church. So we dressed Madalyn up in her cousins tigger costume - So Cute!!!

Hunting Week

Jared went hunting this last week to go kill us some meat :) He hasn't killed anything since I've known him, so why should this year be any different??? The elk he is skinning is the one his cousin killed. He did however kill a grouse (which I thought was a rabbit). Maybe when Madalyn and our other kids to come (no I'm not pregnant) get older we will bundle up and go with daddy one year - I said MAYBE.

Team Ta-Ta

Another one of my favorite days is the Race for the cure. Every year we get up before the sun and head down town. Every year when I get out of bed I say "next year let's do the sleep-in for the Cure", but once I get down there I remember how much fun it is. Another fun year!!! Each year we add more friends to our group, so next year we hope you join us!!!!

I knew they would be back...

But this time we were ready for the!!!! Jared was so excited to show me the 3 mice that we killed yesterday. I knew they would start to come out once all of the commotion settled. Here are the first 3 and I'm sure not the last. Jared wanted to know if Anthony and Nick wanted to come and help us catch some more :)

Dedication day!!!

Sunday was dedication day for Madalyn. After service we had everyone over for lunch. We are so blessed to have all of our families and so many friends here to help us raise Madalyn. She is a very lucky girl!!!!

It's been a long time...

I know it's been about a month since my last post. But in my defense I never promised an updated every day, or every week for that matter :) It has been crazy around here!! The biggest excitement in the last few weeks is our MICE!!! Yep, we have mice. And I don't mean just one or two, the pest control guy called it an infestation!!!! We just got done clearing out our basement and laying about 20 traps. Nothing yet, I'm sure we scared them away with all of the commotion. Don't worry I'm sure thy will be back, and when they arrive we have peanut butter waiting for them :)

Soft Ball

For those of you who don't know, Jared recently switched companies. He used to be with Halliburton, but recently was approached with a great opportunity to go to another well servicing company. He is now with Superior. They are new to Colorado but have been on the east coast for a while now. He had his first softball game with his new uniform the other night so we packed up and went to watch daddy play. Although they lost it was fun to get outside and watch the game.

2 months old

It's hard to believe, but Madalyn is already 2 months old. It goes by so fast. We just went in for her 2 month appointment - she has gained 2lbs and grown 2 inches. With the way she eats, I thought she was going to weigh more than 10lbs. I guess she has a fast metabolism :) The pictures aren't that great because I can't get her to sit still for more than a second, but doesn't she look cute in her outfit that Aunt Gail and Uncle Bob bought her - Thanks guys!!!
