The more blankets the better...

Are you wondering what to get Madalyn for Christmas... how about a blanket - the more the better. She will not go to bed without grabbing every blanket she can find. And when I go to get her in the morning she insists on taking them all out with her. I took these pictures the other day when we were just hanging out on the couch watching TV.

I know it's been awhile....

Life has been so crazy! I thought I would throw some updated pictures of Madalyn up here for now. I will try to post more later. These are of our annual hay ride up and Grandma and Grandpa Kissler's house. We had so much fun - as always!!!

Madalyn loves horses, so guess what Mom and Dad will be looking for in the next year :)

She's on the move...

and daddy almost lost his Christianity over trying to protect her. Madalyn is pretty good at getting around with just a little help from her "pusher". Jared had to put up a gate at the top of the stairs and it proved to be a little more difficult that he thought... Don't worry I (the fixer) came to the rescue and showed him how it was supposed to me done.

Fun at the Pool

Well it looks like Madalyn will have fun at the pool this year, and I have found a good way to distract her :) She loves the pool!!!

Madalyn's first Easter

Easter was full of festivities...

The Sunday before Easter we had the egg hunt at church. Jared was coaching Madalyn to push all the other kids out of the way so she could get the best eggs (Just kidding).

Then Saturday before Easter we went up the the Kissler farm and did birthday celebrations and had another Egg hunt.

Who needs presents. We know what we are getting for Madalyn for her birthday :)

Then Easter Sunday Madalyn got to wear her first Easter Dress - So Cute!!! After church we all piled in the car (all the Alvino's and us) and drove back up to the Kissler farm for Easter lunch. It was a little rainy but we were still able to get outside and shoot some guns and play with the animals. And I shot my first gun, and hit the target I might add :) I guess I'm a pro!

What happens in Vegas...

...Comes back home for lots of good stories.
I had to go to Vegas this past weekend for a Catering Convention and I thought it would be fun to invite Jared. Then we decided it would be even more fun to invite some friends so Kerri and Grant came along. The first night we got all dressed up and Jared and I went to an awards banquet for my company (it's a pretty big to do, and my catering company - Catering by Design - won Best Caterer of the Year), and Kerri and Grant went to "O".

The Belagio is where we did most of our Gambling (not a lot) and where they put on some pretty cool water shows.

All in All we had a great time, but I'm glad to be home and out of "Sin City". It was fun for a few days but not somewhere to spend more than a few days.

Grandma Alvino

Grandma Alvino passed away early yesterday morning. She was 94 years old.

What do I remember about Grandma Alvino...

We would go over to her house every Sunday after church and she would make us one of 2 things - either roasted chicken or pasta. She always had a separate table set up in the living room for Anthony so he wouldn't miss any of the Broncos games.

She would always have a box of fruit roll-ups (strawberry of course) for us and we would always finish the whole box.

When it was hot outside we would all throw on our swimsuits and head to the pool.

She would sit us in her kitchen and cut our hair (she did a very good job!!!)

When we spent the weekend with her we always rode the bus to the Aurora Mall on Saturday and eat at Chik-Fil-A

Those are just a few of my favorite memories, but there were a lot more. she was really involved in our lives and she will be dearly missed!!!

We love you Grandma!!!

Stock Show

Jared loves the Stock Show. And I must say I had a blast this past Saturday when we went. Things tend to be a little more fun when you get to share them with your kids. Anyway, here are a few pictures us. You can't see them in the pictures but Aunt Abby and Grandma Becky went along with us.

Every Christmas before we open presents we read the Christmas story. Madalyn is listening very closely.

Her present was to big for Santa to wrap :)

Santa brought her the exersaucers of all exersaucers. This will keep her busy for hours. Thanks Santa!!!
